Welcome to Greenwood Psychotherapy & Consulting

Dominique Dery, PhD, MSW, LCSWA (she/her)

I would be honored to connect with you. I am passionate about working with adults on concerns related to anxiety, rumination, self-esteem, perfectionism, grief, life transitions, and relationship issues. I also have experience supporting folks in care-giving roles with loved ones living with dementia. I aim to hold safe and supportive space to explore emotions, experiences, and patterns; to see ourselves and our relationships more clearly; and to envision and engage in meaningful and vibrant ways of moving through whatever we may be experiencing at any stage of life.

I am warm, open-hearted, and down to earth, and I lean on humor, curiosity, and affirmation. I am committed to social justice, recognizing that our lives are deeply affected by unequal privilege and power. I welcome clients of all sexualities and gender identities and cultural, racial, and religious backgrounds.

My therapeutic approach is collaborative and integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), parts work (IFS), mindful self-compassion, psychodynamic therapy, and other approaches. I aim to offer coping skills for difficult moments as well as long-term conversations rooted in care and curiosity that can support vitality, connection, growth, and healing.

Outside of work, I love to spend time in the woods or my chaotic garden, with loved ones, canoe-tripping, and learning (and forgetting) new crafts.

I look forward to connecting about how I can best support you.
